Most of the time, people assume a cappuccino is a drink made up of 1/3 espresso, foam and milk, however the definition of a cappuccino actually is a bit different. A cappuccino is prepared with a single shot of espresso, textured milk and a minimum of 1 cm of foam depth (assessed vertically). This was defined by the Specialty Coffee Association and the World Barista Championship.
