What is a French Press?

A manual immersion brewing device where coffee and water are fully together until a mesh filter presses the coffee down when brewing is finished. It was invented by an Italian named Attilio Calimani in 1929. A French press usually needs a coarse grind of coffee to have the right level of extraction.
