The Q Grader can be compared to a Sommelier in the wine industry. A Q Grader must pass a series of tests that go over a variety of skills to become an expert in identifying and tasting coffee.
The tests include green coffee grading, cupping, sensory skills, triangulation, and more. There are two Q Grader licenses available - Arabica and Robusta. An Arabica Q Grader is the most popular in the same way Arabica coffee is more common than Robusta coffee.
